Eid Ul Azha

Azha means "big" in Arabic. This is known as "Bari Eid" of "Big Eid" and is celebrated on 10th of ZilHaj (last month in Islamic calender. This Eid is celebrated in memories of Hazrat Ibrahim's spirit to sacrifice his son for Allah. Following are few celebrations of Eid ul Azha:


Offering of Eid Prayer 




This is the main event of Eid ul Azha, all muslims offer prayer collectively in the morning wearing new clothes. Children also accompany their fathers and all relative go together to the "Eid Gah" a place or ground  designated for offering collective prayer. After the prayer every one wishes "Eid Mubarik" to every other person by hugging each other.


 Qurbani

Qurbani or Sacrifice of animals i.e goats, Buffalo and camels is carried out to highlight the sacrifice spirit of Hazart Ibrahim. The meat of scarified animal is distributed in three parts. One part is given to relatives, 1 the poors or need  and 1 for their selves.
